Altaris LNG

Markets

LNG for the work the Valley already does.

Altaris is not a commodity export terminal. It is a regional liquefier for customers who need natural-gas energy at a plant gate, a truck stop, a launch site, a packing shed, or a berth.

01

Industrial

ISO-container deliveries to industrial parks, manufacturers, and border-zone facilities that still burn diesel, propane, or trucked CNG for process heat and prime power.

Large parts of the Rio Grande Valley and the adjacent Mexican border market remain outside reliable pipeline-gas service. Altaris LNG supplies those plants with a cleaner-burning, high-BTU fuel that arrives on a schedule — not on a pipeline expansion timeline. Typical uses include process heat, boilers, dryers, and distributed generation for manufacturing and maquiladora operations along the Reynosa–McAllen corridor and U.S.-side industrial parks.

  • Process heat and steam
  • Manufacturing and maquiladora plants
  • Sites without a gas lateral
  • Displacement of diesel and propane

02

Fleet fueling

Fuel for heavy-duty fleets running the I-69 / US-83 corridor and cross-border freight, offered as a practical alternative to diesel on high-mileage routes.

South Texas freight is built around the interstate and the ports of entry. LNG fleet fueling gives operators a drop-in path to lower-emission, high-energy-density fuel without waiting for depot electrification. Altaris can support corridor fueling programs and dedicated fleet offtake from a Cameron County production point.

  • Class 8 tractor fuel
  • I-69E / US-77 / US-83 corridors
  • Cross-border logistics
  • Dedicated fleet programs

03

Virtual pipeline

A trucked LNG network for wholesalers, remote plants, and communities that need natural-gas energy without a steel lateral.

A virtual pipeline is LNG moved in cryogenic ISO containers — mobile storage that can be filled at the plant, staged, and delivered to satellite customers. It is the right tool for the Mexican border market, where pipeline build-out has lagged demand, and for U.S. sites that are simply too far from a transmission tap. Altaris designs supply around fill, transit, and standby rotation so customers see a continuous tank, not a one-off truck.

  • Bulk wholesale dispatch
  • Remote and off-pipe sites
  • Cross-border ISO movements
  • Buffer storage at the customer gate

04

Aerospace

Regional LNG and liquid-methane supply for launch, test, and facility operations in the South Texas aerospace corridor.

Cameron County sits next to one of the country’s most active launch and test complexes. Liquid methane is both a propellant and a facility fuel. Producing LNG in San Benito — roughly an hour from Boca Chica and on the same highway spine as Brownsville — puts a South Texas source next to that demand instead of hauling cryogenic product across the state.

  • Liquid methane / LNG supply
  • Test-stand and ground support
  • Facility operations fuel
  • Brownsville aerospace cluster

05

Food & beverage

Cleaner process energy for Valley food processors that today rely on propane and No. 2 diesel.

The Lower Rio Grande Valley’s citrus, dairy, brewery, and bottling plants need reliable thermal energy on agricultural and seasonal cycles. LNG delivered by ISO container can displace propane and diesel in boilers and process heaters, with a smaller emissions footprint and a fuel that matches industrial duty. Altaris works plant by plant — not as a commodity terminal that ignores the last mile.

  • Boilers and process heaters
  • Citrus and produce packing
  • Dairy, brewery, and bottling
  • Seasonal agricultural load

06

Marine

LNG bunkering support for harbor craft and short-sea vessels calling the Port of Brownsville and regional Texas ports.

The Port of Brownsville is about 28 miles from the San Benito area on highway. That proximity lets Altaris support LNG bunkering for tugs, offshore support vessels, and short-sea shipping without routing product from a distant Gulf terminal. Marine supply is scheduled around vessel windows, not around a pipeline nomination.

  • Harbor tug fuel
  • OSV and workboat bunkering
  • Short-sea shipping
  • Port of Brownsville access

Diversified demand, one production point.

No single use case defines the plant. Industrial heat, freight, off-pipe wholesale, aerospace, food processing, and marine bunkering are independent loads served from the same ISO yard.
